Beverly Morrison, Clay workshop.

Beverly Morrison will lead the clay workshop exploring the most ancient form in clay....the vessel. Through different techniques, such as coiling, pinching and slabs, each person will have the opportunity to explore making a small vessel of their own using a variety of texturing tools and stamps available for decoration.

Beverly Morrison a sculptor and ceramicist. She is also one of resident artist at Blue Roof Studios .Her work strives to explore certain 'conflicted states' which allows the textural surfaces to create their own type of emotional content. Currently she has been working in a collaborative project that will culminate this Friday at the Craft & Folk Art Museum. From Earth, to Farm, to Grain, to Table is a multi-sensory event where participants will earn about harvesting grain and foraging clay and participate in baking bread inside a ceramic kiln, beer tasting, and creating their own ceramic pieces.
